The series 52 has become known as Kriegslok, produced more than 60 years after the first German Steam locomotive. Large numbers of this locomotive are still running across Europe in various museums. This rail-archive is dedicated to the development of the locomotive on the railways of the DDR. The well-known railway photographer and BR 52 engineer, Dieter Wünschmann, shows all variants of the series 52 in about 100 excellent black and white images.
